"In truth, Charmin, whose official name is Ch. Efbe's Hidalgo at Goodspice, is better suited to be a house pet. "He plays with all our other dogs (including his best friend, Babs, a Parson Russell terrier who also competed at Westminster) and gets dirty — a lot," Good says. Given Sealyhams are clowns, Good says a more appropriate name would be Sillyhams.

Charmin is completely smitten with Good and is never more than a foot away. "I'm his person," she says. In their hotel room in New York City, he sleeps on her bed. At home, since the bed is too high, he sleeps on the floor where Good steps down. Or he sleeps next to the toilet, appropriately enough. "He's figured out that's the first place I go after I get up," she says.

In the ring, Charmin is very discreet about his adoration for his person. "He's a cool dog," said Good, who has a wry sense of humor like her dog. "He doesn't overdo it with emotion, publicly."

However, when he finished making his final circle around the ring, he planted a few kisses on his favorite human. "When it was appropriate for a champion," Good said."
